A common characteristic noticed in women in their late 60’s is the menopause depression. Women who are not strong enough emotionally might even get frustrated. Some of the other effects which a woman might experience in menopause depression are physical ailments and isolation. One might notice changes in sleep patterns, changes in eating habits, irritation, thoughts of committing a suicide, and discomfort.

Therefore, it becomes essential to make the woman realize that the changes are happening in her body are something that is a natural phenomena and the depression is bound to occur in such a stage. In her difficult times, support from the family members and proper sleep will get her out of it. They should continue to enjoy things they used to when they were normal and should always carve out certain time for their usual schedule to relax and enjoy. This will surely make her feel better. During such times, its always better to consult a physician to see if everything is in check and there is no major problem with your body. Anti- depressants also are available in the market that help you to overcome depression; however, must ensure that you do not take much of anti depressing medicines because over dosage can cause side effects. More than anything else, having a positive mind frame will solve all your problem of depression during the menopause stage.
